Wednesday, March 25, 2009 9:01 PM I feel sooo sian this whole entire week -.- I am sooo lazy with school works and can't even pay attention during classes. Tomorrow is the starting of Intensive practices for 3 days before the actual SYF day... OMG!5 more days left!*panics* and another OMG!Tomorrow we have to perform both pieces during the Upper Sec assembly. Everyone was going sian here and there,I mean c'mon!We dun mind playing for the lower sec but upper sec?! As if they'll give their support to the band,especially sec 4s. Not saying all but some. Argh,there's too much homework not done yet! And I lost 2 marks for Chemistry coz I had not hand in my Science Journal yet. I shall hand it in on Friday,dun care whether I lose 3 marks or not. Awww~ Matsuura Aya's new song is soo cute! CHOCOLATE TAMASHII Isn't it cute?!I can't stop listening to it and for some reason's it makes me smile and wanna eat chocolate(oh?) Omg,I miss the camp at Hougang already =( I find that during the camp,the band made a BIG improvement!Weeeeh~ Wanna know what happened during the camp? Hmmm...I'm too tired now -.- Basically,we had practice the WHOLE day,PT every morning...almost died yesterday morning -.- Yeah,we had an exchange at Hougang yesterday and weeeh~ the band sounded sooo GOOD!Mr Lim was smiling and he praised the F.Horn!YAY YAY! Low key low key... ...Haha! Anyway,I find First Toa Payoh's choice piece,Yagi Bushi,quite cute and so China-like. 八木節Yagibushi - 山本佳弘／前橋市立前橋高等学校 Isn't it nice?!Omg la,I wanna play it!Haha,Ms Low conducted FTP and she's dancing la!Haha! After exchange,we break camp at 2.30pm.Sad,I still wanna stay longer. Why must we break camp so early?!Grr,nevermind! Reached home at 4pm.Too tired so I went to sleep,thinking of waking up at 7pm in the afternoon to do homework but ended up waking up this morning 5.45am. Haha,that shows how tired I am!XD Went to school to take our instruments and stuff then went to AMK for the mass exchange. Was actually looking forward to hear AMK,Hougang and Regent but didn't get to becoz the exchange is seperated into 2 parts. Bands playing overture no.1 will be in the morning and bands playing overture 2 will be in the afternoon. Sad,didn't get to hear.Haiz,I wanna see the Hougang and Regent people too then wish them good luck =(( Came back to school and had sectionals. Zhi Guo praised me coz my low notes are much better than before!YAY!Haha!I am now motivated to play MORE low notes!XD I'll improve my low notes first before playing high notes =)) Had no combine coz Mr Lim is at AMK sec,conducting for his other school bands. I am quite sad that the exchange had turned out quite messy coz the percussionists rushed towards the ending of Festal Scenes. Mr Lim came up to the stand,making us laugh and all,played overtures 1 and the front part of Festal Scenes and there he was,smiling but suddenly turned black becoz of the percussionists. Sad coz here we are,hoping to make Mr Lim happy and proud of us for applying what we have learnt during the camp just like yesterday's exchange. Nevermind,PERCUSSIONISTS!You can better!Don't let today's exchange affect you! One good thing about Shuqun Symphonic Winds is that eventhough we are small,we have big sound! SMALL BAND BIG SOUND!! My mom told me to cut my hair coz it's very troublesome for me every morning to tie my hair XD And the reason I agree is because it'll be easier for me during the band camp ^^ When me and my sis came back from West Mall,my 2nd brother told my mom that she doesn't have any daughters,all 4 of her children are boys. We LOLed when he said that and since my sis doesn't like her haircut,she chased after my bro XD What a funny family I have. Yesterday...hmmm...had band the whole morning and some of the band members were kinda pissed off that some of the complicating parts of Overture No.1 were not done during sectionals. After band practice in the morning,rushed off to Hwa Chong Instituition. We were the first band to play because Mr Jeffery Chan couldn't make it and Mr Lim had no choice but to conduct for us and he had to rush off after we played. Sadly,we disappointed him. What we practiced hard on the morning and on previous weeks were thrown off the window =( After we performed,Mr Lim walked off to wherever he had to go looking disappointed. While the band members were kinda emo-ing. But hey come on!How many times did we do exchanges,perfomed and such?! JIA YOU SSW!WE HAVE TO DO IT MAN!WE HAVE TO MAKE MR LIM NOT DISAPPOINTED AGAIN! Tomorrow is the band camp so we HAVE to practice DAMN hard even though it's tiring! Please spare a thought to some of the hard working band members like Jia Wei and Xin Man and Mindy and people like them. Some of them are getting sick(REALLY sick) and well ok,I have been getting sick on and off too ever since 2 weeks ago. So yeah,PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!Do not throw away whatever Mr Lim and Ms Low taught us out of the window! Tomorrow...is band camp and for some reason I CAN and CAN'T WAIT!XD After band camp have AMK exchange on Saturday sooo...I guess Sunday is the only day I have left to do my remaining mountain of homework no? Right now,I am focuzing my EVERYTHING on band soooo yeah,I'll try to help you too! There is like a MOUNTAIN of homework piled up in one corner,collecting dust rather quickly. Set-up,warm-uped by Jia Wei =D,go for sectionals,F.Horn-ies didn't sectional that much coz we had to give some listening ear and advice(CHEER UP!)! Went for lunch and then me,farah and mindy got shocked at how khoi yian looked like Winsome!XD After luch went for sectionals.Grrr,it was bloody humid and farah kept screaming XD Zhi Guo came and whoah,we sound sucky but give us some minutes and we're back!YAY!Lols... After sectionals had combine at band room with mr lim. Had no air today so I couldn't hold notes that long(3/4 for 5 bars) T.T The notes were low and I need more air than usual to be able to play ALL the low notes. played through Festal Scenes twice and I have no idea what to say,did we improve or deprove? I have no idea but what I can say is that the woodwinds are trying their very best!^^ JIA YOU WOODWINDS! And of course the brasses and percussionists! One piece of advice...MEMORISE THE WHOLE PIECE!XD Trust me,once you memorise the whole piece,we can apply whatever Mr Lim teaches us easily and we won't slow down =DD 17 MORE DAYS TO SYF, SSW! 31ST OF MARCH!! But what I am VERY insecure about is the FRIENDSHIP... I can't help but feel everything is changing and I dunno,I just don't feel the bond between friends. As if my friends are slowly drifting away. Ever since some incident,I really am insecure about everything and I am very sensitive now. Can anyone tell me what to do? I seriously hate this feeling of super insecurity. OMG!Band is like EVERYDAY but have no choice,our SYF is on... 31st MARCH! Can't believe it!There's like 27 more days before the actual thing lor! But damn problems is starting to appear when I busy,stressed out,being emo and blah blah blah.. Grrr,I just hate it man! But I'll just forcus for SYF now,I'll settle the problems later.
